From theology to hypno-couching. Why?
Hypnosis helped me overcome post-surgical pain and health complications caused by medical errors. After being bedridden for 6 months, using painkillers for 13 months, and undergoing four surgeries, I discovered hypnosis by chance before my fourth surgery. Interestingly, the hypnosis I encountered was stage hypnosis performed by Derren Brown, which I first saw on YouTube—not therapeutic hypnosis. I had never heard of stage or medical hypnosis before because I grew up in a strict Christian community.
Hypnosis intrigued me, and I soon came across articles by famous American psychiatrist and psychologist Milton Erickson, which captured my attention. Out of curiosity, I tried hypnosis and walked out of the hospital without post-operative pain. My cramps and pain never returned. Everything healed properly. This fired up my curiosity even more.
I celebrated my victory by traveling to Greece and climbing the hills of Athens, Corinth, and Epidaurus. My services are called Mount Hypnos – this is about rising up, living through personal victories, expanding personal horizons, and overcoming limiting beliefs.
From theories to practice
My academic background is in theology and religious studies, with a long-standing interest in questions of meaning, belief, conscience, and inner conflict. For many years, I worked in public service, including roles in government institutions where I coordinated policy and international cooperation.
This combination — structured analytical thinking, ethical reflection, and lived experience — strongly influences how I work today.
I approach hypnosis not as a technique to “fix” people, but as a way of supporting self-regulation, learning, and inner cooperation, especially for individuals who value autonomy and reflection.
Faith, meaning, and personal autonomy
Faith and spirituality have been part of my life since childhood, and my academic work has focused on theology across different traditions and contexts.
Because of this background, I am particularly attentive to how belief systems — religious or otherwise — shape inner experience. Some people come to me with questions, conflicts, or residual emotional patterns related to faith or church life; others do not. Both are equally welcome.
I do not promote or challenge any belief system.
My focus is on your experience, your boundaries, and your sense of agency.
How I work today
I work online via Zoom, offering hypnosis-based coaching sessions to people internationally.
My approach draws on:
Ericksonian and conversational hypnosis
structured, CBT-oriented tools where they are helpful
careful pacing and consent-based exploration
I work collaboratively, with clear boundaries. My services are offered as coaching and guided hypnotic support, not psychotherapy or medical treatment.
